• An extensive meeting to present investment experiences in the ICT sector

    On Monday May 20, 2019, the Communications and Information Technology Committee at Asharqia Chamber will hold a meeting on topics related to investment in the ICT sector, the sector's challenges and promising investment prospects at the headquarter of the Chamber in Dammam.

     

    The guest speakers of the meeting will be the founding partner of Raed Ventures/ Omar Bin Ali Al-Majdoui, and Executive Director of Roiyah Investment / Qais bin Abdul Hamid Al Issa.

    They will present their experience in investing in this sector and present the results of the experience to future generations, especially in the light of new developments in the sector.

     

    A member of the Board of Directors of the Chamber and Chairman of the Communications and Information Technology Committee, Nasser Al-Bajash, said that this meeting falls within the scope of the activities of the Committee, and the activities of Asharqia Chamber to develop activity and develop investment in the sector of telecommunications and information technology, especially as they have become the predominant language in the social, cultural and economic life of contemporary nations and peoples.

    Al-Bajash added that the hosting of Al-Majdoui and Al-Issa in this meeting came after careful consideration of their experience, which has more than two decades, during which our markets' developments accelerated and successive, which emphasizes the need for meeting, research, study and evaluation, and thus take lessons and experiences and transfer them to future generations.

     

    In addition to being a founding partner of Raed Ventures, Al-Majdoui has served as the former CEO of Al-Majdoui Industries Limited.

    Over the past 17 years, he has also held numerous positions in various administrative and executive positions in various companies and organizations.

    He is interested in developing the entrepreneurial environment for entrepreneurs in the Middle East and is interested in emerging creative ventures and investing in them through bold capital.

     In addition, he is a Chairman and a member of several Boards of Directors and Executive Committees for Emerging Projects.

     

    Moreover, Qais bin Abdul Hamid Al-Issa is a graduate from King Fahad University of Petroleum and Minerals, specializing in computer engineering in 1994.

     He was the founder of Sahara Net with his partner Haitham Abuaisha, as they were the first provider of Internet services in the Kingdom since 1994.​
